Dan Marinescu has over 18 years of professional experience in the Romanian tax and accounting environment. He is the Managing Partner at Fintax Consulting since 2013, with an extensive experience in advising local and multinational corporations on domestic and international taxation matters and in managing and coordinating staff in special tax projects, including tax advisory and due diligence assignments for privatization/acquisition purposes.

He is recognised by his in-depth knowledge of the specific tax issues faced by the Romanian companies, proven track record in developing effective business relationships with client management and its commitment to using skills, practical experience and personal network to provide the highest quality of service.

He started as a Financial Controller at the Romanian Court of Accounts, in 2000, continued as Consultant/Senior Consultant/Manager/Senior Manager at Deloitte&Touche. PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG, then Tax Director at Leitner Leitner before setting up Fintax.

He studied BE in International Business and Economics, at the Academy of Economic Studies, and got certified as Tax Adviser at the Romanian Chamber of Tax Advisors and as a Financial Auditor by the Chamber of Financial Auditors.
